How do I add a Bluesky account?

Open the Clear AT popup, hit the gear, and enter your handle plus an app password — never your main password. Create one at bsky.app → Settings → App Passwords; it looks like xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. You can add as many accounts as you run.

Setting up in Safari (Mac, iPhone, iPad)

After installing from the App Store, turn the extension on: on Mac, Safari → Settings → Extensions → Clear AT; on iPhone/iPad, Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions.

Then grant it website access — on Mac choose Always Allow on Every Website. Clear AT needs this to reach your accounts' servers and your feeds in the background; it talks only to servers you add and collects nothing.

Setting up in Firefox

Firefox treats site access as opt-in, so the popup shows a one-time Grant site access button the first time you open it — click it, then add your accounts and feeds.

The badge isn't updating

Clear AT checks every 3 minutes, so give it a moment — or open the popup, which refreshes immediately. If it never updates, the usual cause is missing site access (see the Safari and Firefox notes above). If an account shows an error, its app password may have been revoked — create a fresh one and re-add the account.

How do I add RSS feeds or YouTube channels?

Gear → Subscriptions → paste any blog or feed URL. For YouTube, paste the channel's page URL — Clear AT resolves it to the channel's upload feed for you. No login needed for either.

Does "Mark all seen" affect the official Bluesky app?

Yes — it syncs with Bluesky itself, so the notification badge clears in the official apps too. That's the point: seen here is seen everywhere.

Where is my data stored?

On your device, full stop. Clear AT has no server — your app passwords stay in your browser and talk only to your own accounts' servers. Details in the privacy policy.
